Welcome to The TreehouseRanked among Esquire Magazine’s Best Bars in America, the Treehouse is a landmark of the Columbus music scene. The bar was built decades ago around a live silver-maple tree. In 1999, “Andyman’s Treehouse” was opened by legendary DJ Andy “Andyman” Davis of CD101 and Quinn Fallon of the X-Rated Cowboys. Over the years, The Treehouse has played host to The Rosebuds, Times New Viking, Doug Gillard (GBV), Mark Eitzel (American Music Club), Eric Bachmann (Crooked Fingers/Archers of Loaf), Bottomless Pit, Evan Dando (Lemonheads), Evangelicals, Jason Anderson, Karl Hendricks Rock Band, Adam Franklin (Swervedriver), Richard Buckner, Decibully, The Sun, Wussy, Skeletons, Kyle Gass (Tenacious D), Two Cow Garage, Slow Dazzle, Tim Easton, Voxtrot, Mike Peters (The Alarm), Joe Jack Talcum (Dead Milkmen), and hundreds more. Now under the management of Phil Palma, the Treehouse continues its tradition of great local and national music. Every Wednesday, Joe Peppercorn (The Whiles) hosts Open Mic Night--always a good time with no cover charged and no judging allowed. Jon Stewart (Daily Show) has been known to make an appearance. Open mic sign-ups start at 9:30pm. The Treehouse - Hard to find, harder to leave. |
