Bending the 21+ Rule, a.k.a. How to Act the Fool

A sure-fire way to embarrass yourself publicly is to show up with an underage buddy, date or retinue and tell the door-person something like, "I've brought an underage friend, but it's cool, because I know Phil (or Joe or Amber)."

It's important to remember that such self-importance is never in good taste and only puts Phil or Joe or Amber in the position where they have to publicly slap you down for forgetting about respect and asking them to break the law and jeopardize the liquor license (i.e. everyone else's good time).

So if you want to walk dejectedly down Pereco alley, knowing that you're probably not going to get laid tonight because you've joined the ranks of Fredo Corleone, and other bush-leaguers who were out of their element...well, then that would make YOU stupid; and while Everyone is welcome at the Treehouse, Stupid is always asked to wait outside.
